Genesis 1:28 (KJV) – "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."
Genesis 2:15 (CEV) – "The Lord God put the man in the Garden of Eden to take care of it and to look after it."
Psalm 8:4-6 (AMPC) – "What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of [earthborn] man that You care for him? Yet You have made him but a little lower than God [or heavenly beings], and You have crowned him with glory and honor. You made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet."
Reflection:
God has entrusted us with the earth, giving us dominion and responsibility. As stewards, we must manage His creation with wisdom, integrity, and care. True stewardship is not just about ownership but about honoring God’s trust by multiplying and nurturing what He has given us. Stewardship extends beyond material resources to include our relationships, time, and talents. When we acknowledge that everything we have is from God, we will act with greater purpose, using our blessings to glorify Him and uplift others.
💡 Ask the Lord for wisdom to manage your resources, relationships, and responsibilities with a Kingdom mindset. Take a step this week to care for something or someone in your environment as an act of stewardship.
